Year 2 Timetable

Elephants Class have PE on Tuesday & Thursday. Come to school in your school PE kit. This is:

a white t-shirt
royal blue or black shorts
navy blue or black hoodie and sweat pants
black pumps

Please note earrings should be taped before coming to school and no children should be wearing hoop earrings

Reading books will be changed weekly on a Wednesday in school and your child may be read with at any point within the week. Please ensure your child comes to school with their correct banded reading book and reading record each day. Library books will be changed on our library day each Wednesday.

English: Handwriting This website allows your child to watch how to form letters or to draw over the top of letters (free draw). We have been learning about the Jumper Family (h, b, n, m, r, p).

English: Conjunctions We have been learning about conjunctions - words that join or extend. The conjunctions we know are and, or, but, because, so / if. There are videos and games that will help your child to understand why we use different conjunctions for different reasons.

English: Using an apostrophe for Contraction Words Children have to match the words to their contraction word with an apostrophe.

English: Using Commas in a List We have been learning about commas in a list this past term. This website will consolidate their learning and give them the opportunity to put a comma between items in a list.

English: Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation This website has lots of games for your child to explore that will help their learning. There are games for spelling, grammar and punctuation. The main games I would suggest your child to focus on are commas in a list and contractions (apostrophes).

Maths: Times Tables - Hit the Button - Quick Recall Please get your child to click on Times Tables and then x2 up to 12. They have to count in 2s until they find the answer. They can also do the 10 and the 5 times tables.

Match the Time Drag and drop the time to the correct analogue clock.

Make the Time Set the minute hand on the clock to make the correct time.

Match the Digital Time Match the digital time to the analogue clock.
