I have been the Headteacher of St Luke's CE First School for the last six years and I feel it is a privilege to lead such a nurturing and happy school. Children, staff, parents, governors and visitors will tell you what a warm and welcoming school we have and that our small school has a real family feel.
I was born and grew up in Redditch and live local to the school. This community is important to me, and I want all the children in our care to flourish and thrive, and to be proud of where they live and go to school. As a Church of England School, I believe that our core purpose is to ensure every child thrives under our care, and that no child is disadvantaged in their educational journey.
We encourage every child to do their best, to be the best version of themselves, and to be responsible for themselves, others and their environment. I believe that school is a place of learning; learning essential knowledge and skills to prepare for the next step in their education, but also learning how to be a good person and a responsible citizen. Part of learning is about making mistakes and getting it wrong from time to time. We are here to guide, to support, to lead and to inspire.
I am very proud of our school and our children. They make me smile every day!
