On behalf of the children, governors and staff I am delighted to welcome you to St Luke’s Church of England First School. Thank you for taking the time to find out more about our wonderful school and what makes it such a special place!
At the heart of everything we do is our school vision –
In our St Luke’s family, we recognise we are all God’s children and through our caring and nurturing environment, we follow His word. We trust and rely on God’s teaching so that we can encourage each other, develop our relationship with one another and the world, and flourish in all that we do.
God’s word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119 v.105)
This vision reflects how, despite our differences, we consider us all to be children of God, and focuses on how we build strong community links as we view ourselves to be a warm and loving family. Our diverse and inclusive community is something we take great pride in, and we trust and rely on God’s teachings to ensure we show kindness, justice and service to those around us.
At St. Luke’s, we are dedicated to ensuring we provide a caring and nurturing environment. Our broad and rich curriculum is designed to inspire creativity and a love of learning. Every day at St. Luke’s we aim to offer our pupils a wide range of experiences in which they can grow and flourish. We recognise each child’s individuality, and we encourage each other, with the belief that all children have unlimited potential if they are motivated by and engaged in the opportunities provided.
At St Luke’s our children are supported by a skilled and committed team of staff, who go above and beyond every day to make sure our children have the best possible experiences.
We hope that our website will provide you with useful information and give you a window into life at St Luke’s and what we can offer. If you would like any further information or would like to arrange a visit to come and see our wonderful school, please contact our school administrator.
