Curriculum

Curriculum at St. Luke’s C.E. First School

At St. Luke’s, we define curriculum as being the experiences and learning we provide for the children, in order to prepare them for the next stage of their education and to enable each child to become happy, responsible and caring individuals who can make a positive contribution to their community and the wider world.

Learning isn’t simply about facts; it’s about knowing how and why we learn, it’s about developing skills, knowledge and understanding across a range of subjects and in relation to themselves, others and their community.

We have included for your information:

  • An outline of our curriculum and how we assess
  • Information for parents regarding how we track progress and attainment in years 1-4
  • A list of a typical week's curriculum
  • Curriculum Maps for each Year Group (which can be found on the individual class pages)
  • For Year Group, Whole school and Forest school Pages showing photographs of learning experiences, please look at Class pages within the children's section of the website.

If you require any further information about our curriculum please make an appointment and one of our class teachers will be happy to talk to you.
